Royal Wedding: William and Kate!

In case you've been living under a rock... On Friday April 29 England's Prince William will marry Kate Middleton.

Didn't get an invite?  Don't worry the wedding will be broadcasted live on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/theroyalchannel).  The wedding is expected to be viewed by 2 billion people worldwide.

Who did get an invite?  In attendance will be Rowan Atkinson (aka Mr Bean), David and Victoria Beckham, Elton John, John Ritchie and Joss Stone. (...and the Queen.)

Random Stuff I find interesting about the wedding...
  1. No Beer! - No Beer will be served at the reception because it would be considered rude to drink beer in the presence of the Queen.
  2. No Dinner! - Instead of a formal meal, guests will be served only appetizers.  Some of the items will include: herbed crèpes, Cornish pastries, mini Yorkshire puddings, and smoked salmon.
  3. During the ceremony, royals will sit on the right while commoners sit on the left.
  4. While in Westminster Abby all women will wear hats to show respect.
  5. The couple already has a Lifetime movie about them titled, "William and Kate."
  6. Kate won't throw her bouquet of flowers to the single ladies in the crown.  Instead, to follow tradition, she will place them on the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior.
  7. Kate removed the word "obey" from her wedding vows.  (Diana did the same when she married Prince Charles in 1981.)
  8. The couple will get their own stamp to commensurate the event.  (They should come in handy for all those thank-you cards!)
  9. It can take up to 50 hours to polish the boots worn by The Household Cavalry.
  10. The Wedding cake will be a multi-tiered fruit cake.
  11. Britons are expected to use over 6 million garbage bags disposing of 4,000 tons of wedding related garbage.
  12. A local pizza has translated its menus into 20 different languages to cater to tourists in town for the wedding.
My thoughts...  If at my wedding I had no beer, no dinner and served fruit cake as dessert, there would have been riots in the aisles!
